The Proposal

Christmas2009
Joel and I went to the movies tonight and saw the Proposal. I was very lucky (perhaps in part because the work email server is done and has been for the last 7 hours?) that I did not get called from work...I'm actually primary on-call right now. I had my phone on vibrate in the holster on my waist just in case it started buzzing so I could walk out of the theater and work if needed, but I was lucky and nothing broke so I had a pleasant quiet time viewing the movie with Joel.

We both really enjoyed it, and yes, it really was Joel's idea we go and see The Proposal, I did not have to drag him there, when I asked him this morning if he wanted to see a movie tonight, the first thing he asked was if the Proposal was at the discount price yet for us to go see it. My husband is just awesome like that.

Wednesday was fun, we had Megan, Laura and Joe over (Megan and Laura work with Joel and Joe is Laura's boyfriend) and we watched some of my So You Think You Can Dance performances from that night's show then put on Meet the Robinson's since that's Megan's favorite movie evidently, and Wednesday was cheer Megan up since she's been going through some hard times having recently lost a cousin she was very close to. After the movie Laura took Joe home and then came right back, and since Megan had never played Apples to Apples we all had to play that, and there were many hilarious times. We played until everyone was too tired to play anymore and then Megan and Laura went home.

Tomorrow I'm off with Cindy to shoot another wedding with her, so that will be a blast. Keep an eye out on my photo blog (http://photoblog.cathoffman.com) for photos...though I may not post until a week after the even since I'll be heading to Tampa this upcoming week from the 13th-17th. Cindy and I are going to try and pound through all our trimming of photos and editing on Sunday since we both have crazy busy weeks that mean we need to do it Sunday and not later.

While I'm in Tampa next week that means I'll be missing seeing the new Harry Potter movie in the IMAX here, so I'm coordinating the next best thing with some of my Tampa co-workers: seeing it in the super high definition digital projection screen at the Channel Side theater down there. We're going to go on Thursday, my last night there before I fly back home on Friday.

After I get back from Tampa Joel and I will be heading up to the Bristol Renaissance faire with [info]mama_bec and [info]billwith2js for the weekend. We've never been to that one, and I've not gone to any faire since I was in high school, so I'm very excited to finally get to go to one again... I hear this one is pretty awesome :) look forward to lots more photos from that of course too, as I plan to take a ton of pictures at the faire.
